When someone pretends to believe something that they do not really believe or that is the opposite of what they do or say at another time.
A feigning to be what one is not or to believe what one does not; especially: the false assumption of an appearance of virtue or religion.

Sacker : It is heartening to have such favourable comment just at the start. I was scared of taking up this difficult topic and expected machinegun fire from all sides but, just the opposite, people are so nice to encourage me with showering of flowers. Please do keep guiding me.
